Fruits and Labor

Fun and comfortable V neck tunics, tunics with pockets and hoodie cowl necks, and one fabulous raglan top with a bow, oh yeah, and some bling! All just landed at the Pretty Parlor!
here's a little glimps into the mess that comes before the garment: the first picture is a bit of my application process, (yes I cut out all 8 legs with my own little fingers) Then a little fabric madness! I cut and sew and apply in levels. My own little sweat shop. Me against the fabric.

Sweat shop MANIA!

More goods, on my dress form, on me, and hopefully soon on YOU!
Jersey gray and black polka dot v neck with lace bird and pink heart.
Navy and beige vine v neck with mermaid octopus (that's right, double your nautical).
V neck action! Punctuated with white ribbing and accented with a red sparrow.
Be careful where you point that love gun......
Pretty floral print in the colors of the wilderness, with a lace yoke, cap sleeves, and a little peek a boo in back.
Let me see your peacock.
Fun geometric print with peek a boo front yoke, lace cap sleeves, and pretty rose button.
I love me some floral prints with simple black and white stripes.
A bee in your flower garden!
Lace in the back, sexy stylish gray knit raglan tunic. Just enough to cover the rump.
Peacock v neck dress, with cap sleeves, I think this dress would look wonderful on my friend Zana!

The one and only Spring 2011

A love of fashion spawns a love of seasons. I'm looking forward to wearing tunics and dresses and frolicking in the daisies, well, actually I'll be strolling the streets of Seattle with an iced mocha in hand soaking in some much needed Vitamin D. So, with the new upcoming season comes change, a few new patterns to try out (knit dresses this year) and a few revamps to last years dresses.
sweetheart bubble dress with added straps and faux buttons.
black stretch velvet tunic with pockets and Carmen Miranda sleeves (taken of a Mu Mu)
simple raglan tunic I revamp and make non stop, this one has a vintage lace bib and fun stripe sleeves
this was Daniels T shirt. I added some new sleeves and a few flowers to accent the camo (I look like a galactic zombie fighter)
the first of 2 new knit dress patterns I'm working on, I'm a fan of anything pretty and stretchy.

PS the galactic background is a sheet that's going to be a dress soon too.

The Color of Spring

These are some super sweet photos from Kombats last fashion show held on the first Thursday of March. My goal was to make all the models look like delicious little pieces of candy. This spring I'm gonna relish in color so when you put on one of my dresses you'll be sweet enough for Marie Antoinette to eat!
